Approximately?
ADT says their installation is only $99 with purchase of ADT alarm monitoring services.

But how much would the services be after the initial installation?
Any information or advice would be appreciated

Hello,
Here’s a list of costs. I do hope this help !
Guardian ADT Security
Monthly Monitoring Rate $32.95
Upfront Fees $99
Master Control Unit 1
Door Contacts 3
Motion Detector 1
Keychain Remote included! $150
2-way voice optional
cellular backup optional
Services afterwards will knock your socks off (not a good thing). Put it this way, a recent customer of mine wanted to add a couple of glassbreak detectors to their store. It was cheaper for them to cancel the remainder of their contract and have me come out to install the detectors. That and the customer sat on hold for 20 minutes trying to get hold of the monitoring station just to contact someone about the cancellation (This was before they even knew he was phoning in about a cancellation, it could have been a service issue…. or worse)
My suggestion would be to look around locally, you may end up paying a fair price for the system however your level of service will probably be better with a local company. ADT also tends to flog wireless systems which will definately bring up your costs later on. Sure they are cheap up-front, but in the end you get what you pay for. My buck is on saving the hassle and increased cost by getting stuff done right the first time. It may cost a few bucks more but in the end you will be much happier with the results.
I have written a number of articles on security related topics. These can be found on my website at http://www.keepsafesystems.ca. A couple that might be of particular interest in your situation are protection 101, False Alarm info and one which goes into the faults inherrent in wireless security systems (Which is in the archive)
I hope this info helps you in your decision.
