My system is a wireless system. I have a great watch dog. I do not think I could install a system myself but surely there is a reliable system that doesn’t lock you into three years? Thanks Two months ago my wife was duped into having an APX Security System installed by a door to door salesman. She failed to share any of the fine print with me and now that charges have started showing up I find out that she signed up for a five year monitoring contract with APX [...] Since Brinks Security has switched names to Broadview, can I cancel my contract and not have to pay?Since I signed a contract with Brinks, not Broadview, can they still hold me to the same terms of the contract? I would like to cancel and they say I have another year left and if I cancel now- I’d have to pay the remaining months anyway (according to the terms of the Brinks [...] I live in TX and got into a three year contract with protect america for a home security system. The system fails about 1/2 the time I use it and, now after a year, I want to get out of the contract. How can I end the contract? I have an ADT security system and would like to cancel it and go with another company. I am not under contract with them anymore.
