Ok, I need A LOT of help. I seem to have gotten several trojans at once off a STUPID download of Growler Guncam (FPS video recorder). I got:
-Fake Trojan alert popup, asking me to download some AV scanner (I didnt) Title of the window is “Security Alert”
-Fake Windows Security Alert stating that there was an “Internet attck” on my computer, requesting that I download yet ANOTHER AV scanner (My reaction was the same as the first)
- Quick Bar popup stating that there was “virus activity” and that I need to download an AV scanner (Icon has an old desktop icon on it, with a white X on a red background on the monitor.)
- I cannot download .exe files on Firefox and the time that shows up is 1500 then “Virus Alert”. I fixed the time bar “Virus Alert”, but cant fix this.
- My “My Computer”, “My Documents”, “My Music”, “My Pictures”, the program menu and anything else related to my documents or computer have disappeared off my start menu.
- All windows I have open are randomly popping up, disrupting my typing as we speak.
I’ll post additional problems as they pop up. AVG cant find ANY of this.
Problems solved: No Regedit access, no Task Manager access.
Its driving me nuts!

If your browser is misbehaving (going to weird, unrequested sites, goofy warnings, etc.) do this before other major system makeovers:
Aside from removing any malware already installed on your system, you must turn off 3rd party cookies. This keeps un-requested cookies (pop-ups, URL’s, etc.) from being displayed in your browser.
For Internet Explorer: go to Tools> Internet Options> Privacy> Advanced: here check ‘Override automatic….’ ‘Allow session cookies’ ‘Allow 1st party cookies’ & ‘Block 3rd Party Cookies’.
For Firefox: go to Tools> Options> Privacy: here un-check ‘Accept 3rd Party cookies’
Junk forced into your system will have to be extracted with Spybot, Ad Aware, and all available cleaners. Good luck.
You have a rogue spyware infection that goats users into buying a fake product.
I would recommend Malwarebytes for this kind of infection
