Depends on the area of the country you live in which office would be your service center. You will need to call & ask them for the address to cancel service for your account.
check out this http://www.adt.com/wps/portal/adt/customer_service
maybe this will help
Good Luck, I know from experience when I took over an account from THEM awhile back. After the customer tried a number of times and got nowhere, I ended up phoning the monitoring station, sitting on hold for 15 to 20 minutes before I even spoke to an operator, at that point I asked for service. Make sure you have all the info ready, like account number password etc.
You can also try to phone the dealer who installed the system. If you are on Pre-authorized payments you might want to contact your bank because I know from experience as well that they sometimes “forget” to cancel the Pre-authorization.
If all else fails, talk to the company taking over your system, they can sometimes be of help in getting hold of the right person. At least they should be able to figure out who the installing Dealer was.
Beware, ADT may just try to scare you into keeping them by claiming ownership of the equipment and threatening to remove it. Just stand strong and don’t let them bully you. It might be abit of a battle of will’s they are owned by Tyco after all… remember them from a little court case a few years back.
I know you really don’t want to phone them, but in the end it is probably the best way to go unless you have the fax number or address of the installing Dealer. Look in the control panel you might find it there with the wire list.
Good Luck
